Filtering Water Bowl Review
First of all, I know this site is about K9s, but my K9s have multiple feline siblings on the property outside and two inside the house with us.
This filtering water bowl I purchased was for the felines. It holds 2 liters of water. The company makes a bigger version that holds more water, 6 liters or thereabouts, that I’m considering getting for the pack.
Crazy Cat
The reason I even thought of getting something like this is that one of my inside cats used to try to drink from my water bottle every time I cracked it open.
She would come trotting over and nudge my bottle with her nose until I gave in and tilted it, letting her drink, well really, spill the water as she was trying to get a drink.
I would change the old bowls and water daily, but apparently for that one girl that wasn’t good enough.
I thought maybe a filtering system would be something she would like. Fresher water all the time.
I looked online and found a few at Chewy.com Here’s the one I purchased,
I unboxed the unit, rinsed it out and put it together. It was easy to assemble. The directions were easy to follow. I set it up where the old bowl was and waited.
It was interesting to watch them check it out. They looked at the bubbler part, then touched the flowing water. They played in it for a few minutes then started drinking from the lower bowl.
Seeing them using it right away made me very happy.
The results
I noticed that they are drinking more water. In the first week of use, they drank it down 2 inches each day. Which if you have cats you know they don’t like to drink a lot of water.
It has a little humming noise which I don’t mind. The water flow sound is not there. Other than the hum, it’s silent. It has a three-year warranty.
Dental Care
The unit has a spot for a dental cleaning supplement that dissolves over the course of four or five days. I’ve noticed that their breath is sweeter since they have been using it. Chewy carries replacement dental supplements they can be found here.

As of the writing of this post, I’m not an affiliate of Chewy but I am a customer.
