How To Sanitize Your Dog’s Potty Area
A big part of being a good pet owner is making sure their bathroom area is clean and sanitary.
No one likes this chore but it is essential.
Keeping up with their “deposits” helps keep the inside of your house more sanitary also because they are not running through their deposits and bringing it back into the house on their feet.
I like to keep a small garden spade and a five-gallon bucket together to remove the solid deposits daily.
I pick up daily or every other day at the very least.
Then twice a week, I get the hose and rinse down the area thoroughly with a high power sprayer attachment.
On the weekend, when I have more free time, I use Simple Green Outdoor Odor Eliminator in a sprayer that attaches to the hose and blast the whole yard with the solution. I blast fences, telephone poles, the sides of the garage, the side of the house that is in the area, anywhere a boy dog could possibly leave a mess.

I choose Simple Green Outdoor Odor Eliminator because it is biodegradable and will not harm plants. I blast everything in the yard, including the plants and the grass area.
I let the suds do their thing for about five or ten minutes. As the Simple Green Outdoor Odor Eliminator is doing its thing, I get the broom and get ready to scrub the cement areas. Working in one section at a time, I make sure it is scrubbed down well.
I reblast each area with a second coat of the simple green after it’s scrubbed. I let that soak until I’ve gotten the whole yard scrubbed.

The final step is to rinse the whole yard with fresh water, so all the product is gone.
The end results are a fresh smelling, sanitary yard.
That is until it’s time for them to make their next deposits.
